A lot of times good food is the accumulation of a group of
people coming together and making something delicious. Never has this been more
apparent than when the Graham Holmburger was created. Graham Holmberg is a
crossfit athlete competing in regionals this weekend. He has a cute kid he
instagrams about a lot and is generally just a good follow in crossfit and Instagram.
I had planned dinner since I knew we were going to be
watching crossfit all day and we are all trying to live better and healthier
lives. The basic idea was salsa burgers with sweet potato fries and watermelon.
Easy, delicious, healthy and it used up some salsa from the restaurant when we
got takeout the night before.
Then Marcus goes “I have some chorizo we can grind up and
add to the burgers” and someone said “We can name it the Graham Holmburger” and
well, deliciousness was created.
The Graham Holmburger:
½ ground beef
4 oz ground up Portugues Chorizo
2 T restaurant style salsa (or any type salsa, you love)
Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder to taste
Toppings: Salsa, Avocado, White American Cheese, and Lettuce for the bun

Mix together your burger ingredients and form them into two
patties.
Grill on each side until the juices rise to the top. Add a
slice of cheese and let melt.
Add burger patty to a leaf or two of lettuce, top with
Avocado and another tablespoon or so of salsa and Enjoy.
